Welcome to Dyke Pre-School Centre located in Dyke near Forres. We offer a warm welcome to all children aged from 2-5 years.
We offer funded pre-school places for children aged 3-5 years and can provide additional chargeable sessions and lunch clubs over and above the funded sessions as required on a regular basis or as an occasional drop in service (subject to availability).
We also have a 2-3 Club each day of the week to give the younger children an introduction to Dyke Pre-School.
We provide a safe, supportive and fun learning environment for your child, with many resources and planned activities such as arts & crafts, building and construction activities, puzzles, reading and word banks, role-play, cooking, gardening and much more.
We believe in “community” at Dyke Pre-School and we work closely with the school, the hall and the parent and toddler group who meet once a week in the main hall.
Dyke Primary School
Dyke Pre-School has an excellent relationship with Dyke Primary School. Throughout the whole school year we are in regular contact with staff at the school and often attend assemblies and other events. As the pre-school children start gearing up to head off to primary one we organise even more transition events ensuring that their move up is as stress-free as possible. We also work closely with other schools within the area.
Dyke Parent and Toddler Group
Dyke Pre-School works closely with Dyke Toddler Group sharing the organisation of Christmas parties and more. Many of the toddlers progress into the pre-school. Dyke Toddler Group is run by volunteer members as a non-profit “free-play” group where parents are responsible for their own children. The group meets every Thursday morning from 09.30-11.30am.
We are situated in a bespoke room in Dyke & District Village Hall which also has ample outside space for that all important outdoor learning. We have held joint fundraising events with the hall which is also available for private bookings for birthday parties, anniversaries, weddings and events.
